Former Haverty furniture store on Airline Highway sells for $2.25M
The March 11, 2019 issue covers four commercial sales recorded across Baton Rouge the previous week, totaling $2.95M in disclosed volume. The headline deal: St. Cyr Real Estate, LLC paid $2.25M ($52.36/SF) to Haverty Furniture Companies for the former furniture store at 8680 Airline Highway, bought for Vivid Ink's expansion. Gordon McKernan bought the office building at Jefferson Highway and Drusilla Lane for $607K, above its $550,000 list price after multiple offers, and the EBR Council on the Aging bought a former fire station on Gus Young Avenue for $10K to develop an intergenerational center.
