The February 18, 2019 issue covers seventy-seven commercial permits issued in Baton Rouge the previous week and three Planning Commission cases. The requests included rezoning 0.56 acres from Single Family Residential (A1) to ISPUD for the four-home Highpointe Oak Subdivision, revised Rouzan lot plans (Phase 5, Revision 4) that reduce the number of proposed lots, and re-approval of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church's columbarium near Government Street. Among the permits: a 4,000 SF storage addition to an existing 21,000 SF building on Rafe Mayer Road and occupancy for a cell phone sales and repair store on Florida Boulevard.

Deferred from 1/22/19 meeting. Requesting Rezoning from Single Family Residential (A1) to Infill/Mixed Use Small Planned Development Unit (ISPUD). The location of requested rezoning is 0.56 acres on the southwest corner of Highland Road / Henry Adams Road. According to plans, the 4 new homes will combine for approximately 12,000 SF of residential living space.
Rouzan Neighborhood Lot Revision Plans (Phase 5 – Revision 4)
Revised lots in Filing 2 and 3, reduced number of proposed lots, modify front yard setbacks, and update phase line boundaries on Phases 1 and 4.
Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church Columbarium Re-approval
This is a renewal of an expired conditional use permit. Original permit approved the construction of a Columbarium (Mausoleum) on the front of the Church's property near Government Street.
