Today’s Question is for Alex Ruch, Senior Associate of Industrial Sales & Leasing in Baton Rouge, LA.
Katrina: Why did you choose the specialty that you’re in?
Alex Ruch: I love working with contractors—people who help build our infrastructure. In many ways, industrial real estate is recession-proof. There will always be a need for contractors who build buildings and provide all the amenities we are so used to. I also love my specific submarket because it has a lot of local owners. I love my city, Baton Rouge, and I enjoy working with people who are from here and invested in the area.
