The headline deal: Riverbend Owners LLC, for Illinois-based real estate investment firm Ashland Capital, paid $23.8M ($77,110/unit) for the Villas at Riverbend, a 308-unit student housing complex on River Road near LSU. Land led the week with six of the fifteen sales, including 18 acres off I-10 and Pecue Lane bought by Penske Truck Leasing Co, LP for $6M and more than 25 acres off Perkins Road bought by the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board for $3.08M.
