122-unit Valencia Park proposed with a preference for veterans
The February 4, 2019 issue covers fifty-eight commercial permits issued in Baton Rouge the previous week and two Planning Commission cases. Valencia Park, a proposed 122-unit multifamily affordable residential development with a preference for veterans, was back on the docket after deferrals from the December 10, 2018 and January 22, 2019 meetings, and Boh Bros. Construction requested rezoning of its 5.22-acre office and yard tract on Airline Highway from Rural to M1 (Light Industrial). Among the permits: new construction of a 3,997 SF single-tenant dental office on Bankers Avenue and a 1,016 SF cafe loft renovation at an existing 100,000 SF church on Highland Road.
