Goodwood Plantation mixed-use development proposed on 1.85 acres
The February 11, 2019 issue covers sixty-three commercial permits issued in Baton Rouge the previous week and three Planning Commission cases. Plans for office suites, retail and mixed use at Goodwood Plantation came forward as a 1.85-acre Infill / Mixed Use Small Planned Unit Development in the center of Adelia at Old Goodwood, and Villas at White Oak proposed a 9.6-acre residential neighborhood on the west side of George O'Neal Road south of Spiller's Way. Among the permits: new construction of five three-story apartment buildings totaling 134,397 SF, plus renovation of an existing 6,100 SF building, on Daradele Avenue.

Goodwood Plantation Renovations + Development – Office Suites, Retail, Mixed Use
This proposed Infill / Mixed Use Small Planned Unit Development (ISPUD) is 1.85 acres located in the center of Adelia at Old Goodwood. The plans include retail/commercial buildings surrounding the historic Goodwood Plantation home and renovation of the antebellum home itself into office space. This case is also requesting a rezoning of the property from Single Family Residential (A1) to ISPUD. Deferred from 1/22/19 meeting.
Villas at White Oak: Residential Neighborhood near White Oak Plantation
Deferred from 1/22/19 meeting. This is a proposed residential neighborhood located on the west side of George O'Neal Road and south of Spiller's Way. The proposed development is 9.6 acres and would include 39 residential lots and one common area tract.
