City of Lafayette purchases Vermilion Conference Center
The March 25, 2024 issue covers nine commercial sales recorded across Lafayette the previous week. The headline deal: DOUG ASHY BUILDING MATERIALS INC bought a pair of commercial buildings on over 11 acres near its primary complex on Johnston Street. Office led the week with three of the nine sales, including the Vermilion Conference Center, the former seat of the Lafayette Parish School Board, bought by the City of Lafayette, while the Gethsemane Church bought the nearly 12-acre property it occupies on East Pinhook Road.
