The renovation of the Davidson building at the First Baptist Church School will encompass approximately 16,000 square feet of interior space. This project aims to transform the existing structure to better serve its community with modern facilities and updated infrastructure. The first level will be designed to support the college ministry, featuring breakout rooms, a living room, ministry space, and administrative offices. The second level will be dedicated to high school education, comprising seven classrooms and one science lab. The scope of work includes the complete interior demolition of the current Group B occupancy building and a change in occupancy classification to Group E. Additionally, the existing elevator will be replaced with a new ADA-compliant hydraulic elevator, and the exterior windows will be upgraded to high-performance, aluminum-framed storefronts with 1″ insulated glass units. The project will also involve a full roof replacement with a new 2-ply SBS roofing system and a minimum of R-25 insulation, along with the replacement of all existing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. This renovation is designed to create a functional, modern, and safe environment for all users. |
