Remove real slate and felt down to bare decking. Replace any rotten wood. Install 26 gauge drip edge and OC starter strip shingles on all rakes and eves. Install double (2) layer OC U20 Rhino synthetic felt over entire roof installing OC Rhino ice and water in valley, around chimney and penetrations. Install OC Duration shingles (approximately 21 squares with waste, color Estate Grey) over entire roof installing OC Pro Edge shingles on all hips and ridges. Install new flashing around chimney. Install new lead plumbing boots. Install 4 low profile vents (2 on front of house 2 on rear, one on each side 12” down from ridges and 12” back from front rakes) for ventilation . Reinstall original ridge tiles and cap with dyed cement to match tiles. Haul away all debris. |
