11 Jul Apprentice Questions: Successful Morning Routine
Today’s Question is for Mathew Laborde, President & CEO of ELIFIN®, from Katrina Stapleton in our Columbus, Ohio office.
Katrina: What is one thing you have to do every morning to set yourself up for a successful day?
Mathew: There are two things that come to mind.
First, I make my wife coffee every single morning. For a large part of my life, work wasn’t just my most important priority; it was the only thing in my life. It was where I put all my effort. However, as I have grown and matured, and as I have come to realize all that life has to offer, making my wife coffee each morning demonstrates where my priorities now lie.
Second, I usually listen to some form of content, almost every morning. This content is typically related to business or mindset, and it helps me get into the right frame of mind to attack the day. It prepares me to come into the office with a positive, growth-oriented mindset, allowing me to positively affect the people around me.
ELIFIN® apprentices are encouraged to be curious and ask questions to get the most out of the program. “Being an apprentice is different than being an intern,” says Laborde. “It’s more exclusive. It’s more substantial.” ELIFIN® apprentices dig into hands-on work from day one, getting experience that sets them apart in the commercial real estate industry and beyond.
